Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.
  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Manuscripts must be written in ENGLISH only and must be prepared in Microsoft Word format using the LJES Manuscript Template, on A4-sized paper, 2.0 cm margin on each side. The preferred length for articles is between 12 and 15 pages, which is around 5,000 to 7,000 words, for a research manuscript, inclusive of everything (Tables, Figures, References, and Appendices). 

 

Only references that are cited in the text should be included in the Reference List. The in-text citation and reference list shall be in accordance with APA Style 7th edition. Please provide the DOI or URL, if any, so that it is easier for the readers to refer. The reference list shall be single-spaced, justified, with “hanging” by 0.6 cm. Then the list shall be sorted according to alphabetical order by name, followed by year.

All figures and tables must be cited in the main text and included within the text rather than grouped at the end of the paper. Captions should be centered with respect to figures and tables and numbered consecutively. Table headings must be placed above tables, and figure captions must be placed underneath figures.
